Something just hasn't been quite right with the Friars since the MSG tourney win. Injury bug has stripped all the depth we thought we were going to have. Four out of our top seven players going into the season could be out tonight.

Also lacking in senior leadership right now. Need some toughness from Bullock and Lindsey to get the team going. Will be a tough test tonight against a good Houston team but the upside is that we traveled 55 miles and they traveled 1700 miles for a neutral game. Know the whole team was watching the Pats-Steelers game last Sunday after their close win against Stony Brook so hopefully some of the Patriot Way will make its way to Mohegan Sun. #DoYourJob

Diallo in the game and Cartwright too after both being questionable going into the game. 18-15 Houston with 6 minutes to go in the first.

That team out there is going to have a hell of a time winning games in this league.

I hope whatever PC looks like when healthy is a far cry better.

Creighton wins 116-62 in a game that no one should ever have to watch. Thankfully, conference season is upon us.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Positives:

-We may have allowed a bit more scoring than usual, but our defense continues to cause havoc and lots of turnovers even with otherwise low turnover teams.
-10-2 is a big positive in itself
-No bad losses...none
-Clear growth and progress every year from Mullin so far

Negatives:

-Feel like the past 5-6 games have all been the same...slop fests, dog fights, etc.
-Almost every single game we start out awful and need to go on runs in the 2nd...good teams won't let you back in
-Our 3 point shooting is really concerning...this was supposed to be a huge strength and I know losing LoVett hurts that but guys like Trimble, Ponds, etc. are missing open 3's

We are far from perfect and far from pretty but at the end of the day we are 10-2 with a top 20 RPI and perfectly on track for the tourney. We need LoVett back and healthy to do any real damage in the Big East. If we can get him back I will be much more confident. So far though we are right on track with where we thought we could be. Many picked us 8th but our fanbase knew we had way more talent than that. Let's see what conference play brings.
