Great win by X! We are up 2 against a horrendous Sacred Heart team at half ranked 300+. Lovett hurt. This team has been very hard to watch last 3-4 games. We cannot put bums away and that's very concerning. Someone remind us we are in the Big East.

Do you consider a 90-55 score “putting bums away”?

Obviously posted when we were up 2 at half which is never acceptable. Great 2nd half thankfully looking way better. Ponds has his stroke again. We need to learn how to play hard early in games. Lovett is hurt and did not play. We absolutely need him for GC and ASU. Pray he's healthy by then.

Name one fanbase of a top 50 program who would be content with a 2 pt lead against the #308 team in the country if that's not the normal reaction. ESPN gave us a 93% chance of victory, 23 pt favorites, and Sacred Heart is a horrendous team even by low major standards. No excuse to need the 2nd half to get any separation from such a bad team. It's not a good habit to get into being in a dog fight with bad teams in 1st halves. Of course I'm thrilled with the 2nd half effort, way better and looked exactly how I expected the entire game to go. But the point is that if you keep falling in that habit of crawling out of the gates, eventually the competition will get way better and we will be down 20 at half, not up 2. A few years ago this game would have gone down to the wire. So far we have handled business even if it's sloppy at times. We will be tested way more by Grand Canyon and Arizona State is playing like a top 10 team right now...we will likely not have Lovett playing either game so it just got tougher. It's a shame, because if we had Lovett for ASU healthy, I was thinking they were due to drop a game and have an off game to get us an upset W. If we play like we did in the 2nd half out West, we should be 1-1 worst case with an outside shot of catching ASU on a bad day. We will see.

By the way, PC dropped another game as did Marquette. I was saying that PC is good but many were overrating them and that is looking more and more accurate each day unfortunately. Right now, SJ is right there with PC if not more dangerous. We are better than Marquette, Butler, DePaul, G'Town, and I'd say PC though that's probably a toss up. Many were laughing early in the season when some said we could be a top 5 team and now it's not looking so crazy. Still very early and we will learn a lot when conference play starts, but we are still on track to earn a tourney bid and looking like a top 5 Big East team that can get some upsets.

Hooper hasn't flipped out much this year since we're 7-1, but SJU has a couple tough road games this week. So prepare.

Yeah, URI has a great team, a lot of talent, and relentless defense. Nothing wrong with losing to the Rams. They kept turning us over, and their crowd was great. Even though we played sucky, we still got to within 3 late and had free throws. Missed opportunity.

Lol at Macura and Cronin. Cronin is a constant whiner, and now is arguing like a 5 year old with a college kid. Terrible loser, should've just made a couple of statements and STFU. Instead Cronin looks like a douche.

It's almost like basketball games are played over 40 minutes and not 20?!?! I guess a 35 point win isn't good enough for Hooper.
