The point is, you don't have to dominate OOC to still get a good seed.
Yep. Esp in a conf like the BE.
Let's say that SHU ends up losing to both TT and L'ville. OK, 3 non-conf losses against good competition. Now they go 13-5 in conference and beat Nova, X, CU and PC. They certainly have the talent to be near the top this year. I think 23-8 or something like 24-9 in a conference like the BE gets you a 5-6 easy. Knock them both off and go 12-6 and you are a 4 at worst IMO. That record would be eerily similar to what Butler did last year. Creighton had 9 conf losses last year and were still a 6 seed.
Also not sure why Edrick is hating on the Hall so much. They're 5-1. They looked better vs. Indiana than Duke did last night. Not saying they are better than Duke but that they have the talent to beat anyone on any given night.
Edrick wrote:Because not only is that dubious, the difference between 3 and 7 is just too small to assume a large accumulation of wins for anyone in that group, among the group. (and that's 40% of their games)
When you are going to go (more or less) .500 in 40% of your games, you don't have to be awesome at algebra to see that you are going have difficulty reaching 667% overall.

Unfortunately a lot of Seton Hall's strength is out hustling and athleting people and Texas Tech is doing that to Seton Hall.
