looking- Belmont's 3pt % of total attempts is #9 at 52.1%.

in the last 16 years- they've averaged being ranked 16.43 in that stat. And 1 of those years they were 57th. in the other 15 years- 13.73.

So yeah, that's totally their game.

Unbelievable. And Belmont's last play was FLAWLESS.......just a LITTLE early.


Every good team has games like this where they play an inferior opponent, and it turns into a dogfight. And Belmont plays the type of game that scares the bejesus out of me in that they chuck up a ton of three's. And they are capable of beating almost anyone if they stay hot behind the arc. That was BIG for the Friars, and really, one of the best ending sequence I've ever seen in a basketball game. I mean, an alley oop pass? NO ONE expected that, which was why it was genius. And Kyron just weaved his way through Belmont players and, although he jumped from behind the arc, probably did not release that ball until he was a good four feet plus closer to the basket.

Bad news for Nova in the Purdue and Arizona both lost. So much for the SOS boost from winning the opening game. Fortunately the field is fairly strong so they'll still get decent opponents.

Just back from the Dunk after screaming my lungs out. Belmont is for real but the friars have to play better defense and communicate more. They are still a work in progress and needed every second to pull that one off. On to Boston College Sat night to hopefully avenge last years loss. The turkey will taste a little better tomorrow thanks to Kyron.

Amazing finish at the Dunk... buzzer went off with the shot in the air... Belmont has a tough team, and they don't make mistakes, must've shot 50 threes and hit 48... refs sucked eggs as usual... will be a great resume win in March.
