The JP Macura Gator Chomp... Lol...

Sometimes a kinda minor thing deserves it's own thread, based on it being pretty funny, pretty bold, and there being some history coming into play.

Xavier had a huge victory last night at Wisconsin. The Badgers tied it late, but Trevon Bluiett drilled 2 late threes to lead X to the win. The game was capped off with 12 seconds left, by a feed and slam by JP Macura, a nice exclamation point to piss off an annoying home fanbase.

After the dunk JP then did the Florida Gator Chomp thing repeatedly at the Badger students, due to Wisky having gotten bounced by Florida last March. I'm sure it also had something to do with past history of X and the Big East vs Wisconsin, plus the in-game taunting from the Wisc student section.

Anyway, Macura has definitely gotten me pissed at him in his many games vs the Friars, but against a Big Ten school, and after 4 years now of watching him play, his game has grown on me and he's pretty entertaining. Just got to behave himself at local bars.

Also, i was hoping some X fans could fill us in more on last night's game/ crowd/ experience.

I also saw that and was thinking wtf is he doing the gator chomp for. I have read that Wisconsin student section does a slow clap thing so I think he was doing that to mock them.

Fan of his play but not a fan of that behavior last night. I get that he's a kid, that it was an emotional win in a hostile environment and it's gratifying to stick it to the fans that are taunting you throughout the game. But act like you've been there before. Glad to see Mack grab him at the end and tell him to cool it.

I saw that too and was wondering what the heck was going on there.

Then I did hear the Wisconsin fans chanting sweet 16- where then after that Macura did it again if you remember(after he was on the bench).
