St John's and Xavier both looked great.

The Friars got the W thankfully, by 7 over Washington. We were up 11+ with under 8, the gap closed, then UW's took some weird shots which helped us maintain our lead.

Drew Edwards in crunchtime was outstanding. Remember, he was injured all last year. Two seasons ago as a freshman he fed Bullock with a bounce pass to get the NCAA win vs USC. Edwards has a nose for the ball too, and is very disruptive on D and has a great hoops IQ.

So a 3-0 night for the Big East puts us at 22-4. We got 3 wins tonight vs the Football-5. Now 4-3 in the Gavitt Games. And DePaul can give us an outright Gavitt win by beating Illinois tomorrow night.

I switched channels for about a minute at the stoppage in play around 2:30 or so and the scored tied at like 65 or something to catch part of another game. Turned back and there was about one minute to go and X up 6 or 8 with the ball. I was like, Holy Schnikes.
