While I get the disappointment, I think it could be very beneficial to the Johnnies' record. Although it obviously doesn't compare in terms of capacity, the more intimate setting on campus gives them a much better home court advantage than MSG does. I could easily see it getting them an extra win or two that they may not have gotten at MSG which could be the difference in their postseason fate.

I'm kind of in between on how I feel about this game.
It could be a huge TV showcase for the league, with a packed house and drawing a ton of viewers before the Super Bowl starts.
On the other hand, it could show the league in a less than favorable light if competition with the Super Bowl makes drawing a crowd difficult.
And on the flip side of drawing a bunch of viewers, everyone could also choose football pregame instead.
