This is DePaul's deepest, most well-rounded, most talented roster they've had in at least 10 years.

I honestly think DePaul isn't getting enough attention this offseason. Looking at their roster they will be able to surprise a few teams as I think they have 4 good starters.

Several post-draft deadline way too early top 25s are starting to roll in. Villanova, Xavier, and Seton Hall have been consistently present. ESPN added Butler to theirs as well.

Shocked also. As always Friars will remind them. Bringing everyone back with some great additions. Last time I checked Cooley is still their coach. The BEast is loaded.

The thing is, I think nationally there's a lot of teams returning a lot quite frankly. Much more than normal. Part of that was last years frosh class was so loaded, guys that normally would have gone to the draft didn't.

Next year is going to be a crazy good season overall in college hoops I think.

They still very well could be. All we're seeing now are a few one man's opinion rankings. When the official preseason polls come out, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Providence. I expect they'll be receiving votes at worst.

just checked espn ranking. can't really argue with most teams in the ranking, but I'm going to pick on Gonzaga. They lose their two bigs. and the go to guy in the backcourt. and this is the reason to put Gonzaga up there?

"This is a program that has succeeded for nearly 20 years under Few. Now is not the time to wonder if that will cease."

not much analysis being done here.

You're probably right but the reasoning isn't that far off IMO. When I think back to my predictions of PC last year, I mistakenly thought that when Bentil and Dunn left PC would struggle. I thought to myself: "love Cooley, love the culture he is building but that's too much talent walking out the door." I was way wrong. Gonzaga '17-'18 may be like PC '16-'17. A winning culture "tide" often lifts the boat of team talent. The Zags have been consistently good for a while; I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I would say not only that- but they do have the benefit of the conference they play in as well. Odds really good end of the year they have 25 wins and are in the top 25.
