Great, PC will almost certainly finish 9th now. It's all about exceeding expectations which are historically low here. Hence my begging.

That's some powerful stuff you're either smokin' or snortin' over there, Hoya33. (1) Creighton without Patton is still clearly a top half team in the league, and (2) Xavier without Blueitt will ONLY have 4 returning starters and ONLY 4 4-star recruits coming in. The Hoyas will have ....... hope. You probably got DePaul right though.

I'm intrigued about Joseph as well. Top 50 recruit to the Cuse... Given the keys to the team as a frosh and then logged about 20 min total in ACC play as a sophomore on a team without guards. Friars went after him hard out of HS.

I'll just say yes I did kind of view my rankings as power rankings, but I think that's generally how preseason polls are conducted. If this turns out to be the case, the league will be very, very good.

If PC pulls Top 35 PG Makai Ashton-Langford to go along with 4 star's 6'9" Nate Watson (Watson says he's 6'10" now) and 6"11 Dajour Dickens next year I like our chances for a top half finish.

Speaking of Ashton-Langford, what's the feeling on PC's chances here? They were pretty heavily involved the first time around if I recall. Any new teams trying to sneak into his recruitment?

I'm assuming the guys testing the waters will be back. This league will be very, very good next year. I'm willing to guess the Big East will be the best it has been since the split.

I could not even venture a guess but he said he had a real tough choice between PC and UConn before. He's a top 30 player still available though and an unbelievable winner. They will all be lining up to take a shot. I would put PC's chance at 50/50.

Regarding your point on Xavier I remember a Marquette team that went to the Elite 8 and had four starters coming back and a top 10 recruiting class coming in picked first in this new league... didn't work out too well for us so if I were you I'd never count my chickens before they hatch.
