Looks like Ed Cooley may be considered. I do like Rod Barnes. What he has done with Bakersfield has been fun to watch.

Coaching Changes is a sham Twitter account. It's run by multiple people who toss out individuals they want to see be considered, not necessarily who will be considered.

If I had to guess, here would be my list of candidates for Georgetown: Tommy Amaker, Shaka Smart, Patrick Ewing, Tom Crean, and Dan Hurley.

Ed Cooley is a PC guy for life

I do NOT want Amaker

Give me Ewing with a great staff and suddenly Georgetown is back to being the BEAST of the Big East

Not all great coaches are big name hires. Heck Jay Wright came from Hofstra. Look at who is dominating at the lower level and give a guy a shot at the bigs. Those guys tend to be more loyal than the guys jumping from F5 school to F5 school.

Guys like:
Kermitt Davis at Middle Tennessee
King Rice at Monmouth
John Becker at Vermont
Tim Cluess at Iona

I dunno... Coaching Changes is "followed" by names like Jon Rothstein, Jeff Goodman, Gary Parrish, etc. Those connections don't usually attach themselves to a fantasy site.

I wouldn't be against Cooley at Georgetown.

Cooley has done well at Providence. The question he (and others) would ask is how far could he go with better talent? I think most coaches would ponder that question and consider the opportunity in that scenario.

You gotta admit that our reasons for disliking Kelsey (phony, manipulative, calculating, untrustworthy) are looking pretty ******* valid!

I dunno, but I'd guess Jerry Wainwright or Oliver Purnell would be Great candidates for Georgetown. ;)

Cooley's name was mentioned more as a recommendation than an actual coach Georgetown would pursue. I seriously doubt Cooley leaves Providence for Georgetown.

Cooley is not leaving PC for Georgetown.

First of all, he's a Providence guy. The Hoyas might as well pursue Mullin... same likelihood of it happening.

Secondly, Georgetown isn't going to try to poach a guy from the Big East... on the surface it makes no sense... Big East players can't transfer between schools, but a coach transfer would be allowed...? Makes no sense.
