0-2 I think. Xavier lost to NC State in 2014 then Providence this year. Nobody else in the Big East played in it unless I'm completely forgetting something.

I think Cooley stayed in the 2-3 to try and protect Cartwright, Bullock and Holt who were in foul trouble. In the end it didnt matter anyway but man to man would have opened those up to more fouls potentially. Not saying it was the right play, just what I think his thought process was. USC going to man killed us, we just didnt have a guy who could create off the dribble and hurt them and man took Lindsey completely out of the game. That one hurts and will sting for a while but overall a great season and a lot to look forward to next year.

Good point. I get that was his thinking. I just wish he had trusted his bench more. Except for Cartwright, his starters all played a lot of minutes. It showed as they were slow to get to the boards and slow to pick up a man late in the game.

My complaint with the 2-3 is that it left them out of position for rebounds and not in position to box out. As a result they got killed on the offensive glass, giving up 16 offensive rebounds, many for easy put backs.

I don't like to complain about the refs, but man! There were at least a couple of clean blocks in the 2nd half alone that they called for fouls. Replays showed they were clean. Same with some reach ins. The way they called that game really hurts teams that play defense. I hope the rest of the BE doesn't experience the same thing.

Bad loss by Friars, also a very very small turnout by there fans. It will interesting to see if any of the schools travel well this weekend.

Rhody is 1 team you don't need to wish for phantom fouls, in most cases they get there money's worth. If I were a Rhody fan 1 of my worries for tomorrow would be foul trouble.
