well from this-

RI was in regardless of the game.... ok.

big thing to me was about Providence. They had been set to play Wake Forest- but then the winner of that was set to play Creighton. Obviously teams from same conference can't play- so they switched it. It had to be Wednesday due to USC coming from the west.

As long as we have to do this, may as well do it right. I'd love to see Villanova go through the ACC on the way to the Final 4:
  1. Va Tech
  2. UVA
  3. Duke

Do I think it will happen? Nope. I think Villanova has a tough path this year. Some of the seeings (like Wisconsin) seem really off base. I think VU's path to the Final 4 this year is harder than last year.

so looking-
7 Ken Pom top 50 teams didn't make the tourney. Of the 7, 6 were from the P6.
3 RPI top 50 teams didn't make the tourney. None were from the P6.

Looking at the Big East teams-
Nova 1 seeded, 1 RPI, 2 KP
Butler 13 seeded, 15 RPI, 26 KP
Creighton 24 seeded, 26 RPI, 27 KP
Seton Hall 34 seeded, 44 RPI, 53 KP
Marquette 39 seeded, 61 RPI, 28 KP
Xavier 41 seeded, 37 RPI, 40 KP
Providence 42 seeded, 56 RPI, 56 KP

really doesn't look like they punished Xavier or Creighton much if at all for the injuries. They are both really close to where they would be with their overall resume. Maybe Xavier dinged slightly.

Who is a better matchup for PC, Wake Forest or USC? I don't know much about either team.

Also, who knows which PC team shows up. That's probably more important than matchups.

Or which Bullock shows up? Seems like the huge 4 games that (probably) got them in tourney...beating Butler, Xavier, Marquette and Creighton, Bullock had double digit points and rebounds. A little deeper dive, looks like PC is 8-2 when Bullock grabs at least 8 rebounds.

Congrats BE, awesome for you guys. You have the perfect blend of teams and an impressive NCAAT participation. Not sure I'd be in a hurry to expand either. Good luck until/ if we match up. As fellow non power football conferences, neither us nor WSU are crazy about our draw. The committee seems intent to have us non P5 conferences knock each other out and clear the path...
