Creighton baseball coach Ed Servais said last night that the Big East is looking at Citi Field in NYC for the tournament next year. Coaches have discussed using TD Ameritrade in Omaha also.

An MLB stadium will be pretty empty is my concern. A college venue seems more appropriate in this case.

Big ten used target field in Minnesota this year and it was pretty empty.

For women's basketball...what about The Palestra? Somewhat central (at least to the east coast teams), plenty of history, and it seats ~10k, so it wouldn't be 'too' empty looking if turnout isn't great?

what about MSG
since the BE is much smaller now
it won't need all the days it used to for the men

I think it's about 23000, but they can get about 25000 with standing room and packing the general admission areas.

The sources I've found have shown the normal capacity is 24,000, but it's expandable up to 35,000. The record attendance is 26,271.
