1. Watson.
2. Sumner and Miles Davis.
3. Booth and Spellman.
4. Bentil... and holy cow, going back a year, 7'-2" Pascal Chukwu and his transfer to Syracuse... both would only be juniors... grrrr.

In the "Shoulda" category, if PC had won the game at BC on Dec 23rd, our RPI would be at 55 and we wouldn't have that terrible loss on our resume.

With Creighton, Davion Mintz has been starting, but Clement has been getting more minutes over the last 4 games, and Clement has averaged 5 assists and 2 turnovers in that time. Is the PG job going to be divided between these two, and do Jays fans have a preference?
The fans are split on this. Mintz is much more athletic, is better defensively and has a much higher upside than Clement. However, he isn't playing instinctively yet and the offense has sputtered at times with him in the lineup. Clement is steadier and runs the offense better than Mintz right now. Clement can be a liability defensively and can't be expected to be a consistent scorer. I think the job will continue to be split with Clement taking more minutes until Mintz proves he can handle the job of running the offense. Most Creighton fans hope that is soon. That being said, so far, Clement deserves the minutes he is getting!

As far as a bad loss goes, I am sure Gtown fans won't get over the Maryland game if they don't make the tourney.

Hopefully the injuries make Creighton and Xavier stronger for next season, not that their seasons are over by any means. The league may be even better next season.

I was thinking of putting that but thought that was a stretch. 100% agree though

X also lost Ekiyor, London, and Austin to transfer, two of which were expected to be contributors in the front court. We've had A LOT of speed bumps that lead to this year's team. A constant stream of things taking a little wind out of our sails. Coulda shoulda woulda games for X would include Colorado, Creighton at home, Butler on the road, UC on the road. We were very close to 22-3 against a behemoth schedule with a depleted team.

This being said, we should be very very good next year, as should the all the Big East.

For Seton Hall, I think the Florida game in the tourney could really come back to haunt them. Even if they still go 1-2, the uptick in SOS would have been huge, along with the top 25 win over Florida.

For Georgetown you obviously have the Maryland game- and the corresponding hangover the next game vs Arkansas St.

This year stinks because the way the league was- it could have easily gotten 7-8 teams in. Probably should have. But things have really conspired against it.

Yadda, yadda, yadda... Well it is great to see and hear so many of you "packin up the gear", conceding the season, and planning for next year, already. Great...see youse guys and your teams next season. Just mail in the remaining losses to Val and Stu... and thanks! Nova thanks you, Creighton thanks you, and ol' gtmo thanks you.

The season ain't over. 6 rs games, the BET, and the NCAA - that's a max of 15 tilts left - a lot of basketball left. If Creighton and Butler can get their shit together and beat Nova, this Reg season thing is wide open and the BET should be fun as well. The great hoops is just beginning-not ending. Don't quit on us (the league, your team, and college hoops) yet.

The Hall gets a big signature win at home vs Nova, then Butler ends the pavilion win streak, and Creighton steps on a wounded Nova-dogs neck. It ain't over til it's over.

luv ya,

I don't think people are really doing that- it's just that this year had the real chance of being the breakout year with 7-8 tourney teams, and still 4 teams really highly seeded. That's not the case, and the league may only have 4 teams in the bracket.

St John's has absolutely no chance of making the NIT. It's done totally on merit now, teams like St John's aren't gifted spots just because of name. St John's profile is much weaker than what Marquette was last year and they didn't make it. Heck, remember Creighton was one of the last 9 teams to make it. You say Big East record is merit. I say Creighton had 9 BE wins last year and barely made it, and Marquette had 8 wins and 20 overall and didn't make it.
