I'm watching this Gonzaga/St. Mary's game and can't say I'm impressed. The Zags look the same old same old, good team that won't make the F4. No way in hell is St. Mary's a top 25 team, none. They're fraudulent. Zag's up 40-31 at half with their top 2 players sitting large portions of the 1st half.

Mary's better win the WCC tournament. It's a shaky resume if the win @ Dayton is the centerpiece and the only decent win.

SMU on a 19-2 run to take a 50-42 lead on UC with under 8 to go in the 2nd half.

Edit: final score update

SMU beats UC 60-51, looks like the Bearcats will have to win out to get a top 4 seed.

There were actually a couple of notable results Sunday. Northwestern beat Wisconsin (really does seem to be a down year for the B1G) and VT beat Virginia.

And I can't find anywhere in the rules something about setting a screen with one foot out-of-bounds, like in the VCU/GW game.
So, assumedly it is legal.
And sure you can use that play.
But...the screen was illegal.
The player had his feet spaced way beyond the allowed limit of his shoulders. (required per the NCAA rules)
And, as you noted, the GW player didn't have time to avoid...the rule requires at least one step distance to accomplish the avoidance.
So, OK, a good idea. But not legally executed.

Just in case anyone is wondering: The NCAA is ammending the rulebook to state a foot out of bounds is illegal. Currently it is not, but due to the VCU play they are changing it. Details can be read below:

Obviously, giving up that lead is rough, but they got SCREWWWWED on some calls and no calls at very critical points i thought.

VCU vs Bonnies must've felt similar. There was no doubt who was going to win once the game went to OT.
