Wow, seems like a Mickey Mouse call. Just clear the court and play the last 0.4...

6 Top Ten teams lost. In the entire 69 year history of the AP poll, there have only been 5 days when more Top Ten teams lost in one day. Half of those 6 teams lost at home. Everyone of them lost to a lower ranked or unrated team. #17 and #22 were also upset at home. :o

#2 Baylor lost at home to unranked Kansas State
#3 Kansas lost at home to unranked Iowa State
#5 Arizona lost on the road to #13 Oregon in a 27 point blowout
#7 West Virginia lost at home to unranked Oklahoma State
#8 Kentucky lost on the road to #24 Florida in a 22 point blowout
#9 Virginia lost on the road to unrnked Syracuse

#17 Maryland lost at home to #23 Purdue
#22 Creighton lost at home to unranked Xavier

There's going to be a shakeup in the polls tomorrow.

I don't see any dominant teams out there this year which bodes well for Villanova's chances.

St. Bonaventure's would-be game-winner ruined by technical for premature court storm (Video) - The Dagger - February 4, 2017

Court storms can turn into chaos. Usually that chaos is all kinds of fun. But sometimes — and especially when the storm is mistimed — that chaos can turn into a source of regret for days and weeks to come.

St. Bonaventure’s court storm Saturday was an example of the latter. After what they thought was a win over VCU, the Bonnies’ celebrations went terribly, terribly wrong.

With VCU up 65-63 with 3.2 seconds remaining, St. Bonaventure had the ball out of bounds on the baseline. Bonaventure ran a play to the far corner, and junior guard Matt Mobley hit an awkward-looking, contested 3-pointer for the win … or so he thought.

Bonnies players and managers spilled out onto the court, despite the best efforts of coach Mark Schmidt to keep them on the bench. The fans soon followed. But the clock still showed 0.4. VCU inbounded the ball a few seconds later, at which point the remaining time ran off the clock, but when the court storm began, the game was clearly not over.

Read on . . . video link is in the article.

Atlantic 10 Standings - VCU and Dayton are both 8-2 in A10 play. Dayton lost at VCU on January 27th, and hosts VCU at UD Arena on March 1st.

and bracketology. Kansas St, Iowa St, Oklahoma St were on the bubble, and Syracuse was pretty close to the same position as most thought Georgetown was in. So a huge shakeup there as well...

Not.

Kansas, Baylor, Arizona will stay Top 10. Hell, Kentucky may not fall out? All sorts of excuses and rationales will be created /devised to justify keeping the "darlings" top ten. If there is any way possible ol' Duke will jump back into the top 10. Beauty Contest.

What on earth?
VCU gets second miraculous win of the week After winning earlier in the week thanks to an ill-timed celebration, VCU was at it again, getting the win at George Washington thanks to a dead-ball foul with less than a second left.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

For the second consecutive game, VCU's opponent hit an apparent game-winning 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left in the game. VCU won both games.

Have a look: VCU stuns George Washington in final second (Video) - AP/ESPN - February 8, 2017

VCU remains tied with Dayton at 9-2 in A10 play, with Rhode Island and Richmond a game behind at 8-3.

If the A10 weren't already enough of a cluster#$@#, apparently, the bus driver for SLU (a true and bona fide cluster presently) took the bus to a bar 40 miles away from Olean to have a few pops, leaving the Billikens stranded:

"Insult to injury ... Lose to Bonnie's and our nutty bus driver leaves without the team! The state troopers are tracking her down! Serious!"

You can't make this stuff up.

Another Mickey Mouse call for VCU. Plus reading around through comments, the diving VCU guy had his foot out of bounds, so if anything he should've been called for the foul.

So, is the A-10 trying to guarantee 3 bids by bailing out VCU twice?
