BU pulls out the free throw competition at Hinkle.... BU 83 to X 78. 56 fouls called! Butler 33-38 and X 28-39 FTs and that was the difference. (BU got a lot down the stretch to finish off the game.)

The Butler/Xavier game may have set basketball back 20 years. It was one of the ugliest game I've seen and I follow a school that loves to play ugly games. The refs called the game so tight, neither team ever really got into an offensive flow.

There were 77 free throw attempts! At one point, I actually forgot that I disliked Xavier, because I was too busy hating the refs.

I'd rather win ugly, than lose pretty. But that's the least satisfied I've felt after a win over a rival like Xavier. I'm just glad Butler survived and it's over.

I'm happy Butler won and all, but if I were a casual fan I would have hated watching the game today. Absolutely no flow because of how insane the officials were with their whistles.

We all agree on the But- Xav game. That was brutal to watch. The first half of the Creighton game was also hard to sit through, too. The fans were sleeping through it; along with the team.

I thought officiating was terrible both ways both teams have room to complain. Game was won at the line cuz that was all the offense was in the second half.

According to Mack, he was in some pain, but shouldn't miss any time. Certainly hope he's okay, definitely has looked like he was in pain the past couple games.

Question for Butler fans where has Joey Brunk been? Forgot about him but I know Butler beat Xavier out for him. Is he hurt?

They applied for a hardship redshirt so he could spend more time with his dad, who has brain tumor...
