A full slate of 5 Big East games on Saturday...

#18 Butler at Georgetown, 11:30am.
DePaul at Seton Hall, 12pm.
#10 Creighton at Providence, 2pm.
St John's at #16 Xavier, 2:30pm.
Marquette at #1 Villanova, 7:30pm.

A snowstorm is forecast for all day Saturday in Providence, so it will suck trying to get to the game... may not be able to make it. Other than that, what a great day to be snowed in. If anything, I wish the games were spread out more throughout the day.

Speaking of which... can't every Saturday be a Big East Marathon day...? Just space our 5 Saturday games out every week at 12, 2, 4, 6 and 8pm... instant marathon. I think I'll add that to our brainstorming thread.

I agree with the BEast marathon every Saturday idea. It's not like we're competing with college/pro football for the most part once the conference season starts. I'm trying to think of a reason why that wouldn't be good for Fox/FS1, and I can't think of any. I can't even think of what competes with NCAAB on Saturdays Jan-March. I guess I don't watch too much TV during that stretch.

I think a big reason why they don't do that is really 2-
1- the networks like having some Sunday games.
2- schools don't really care much for those 4 and 6 start times. Not on a regular basis.

Also have to remember that Fox doesn't own all of the games. Like take tomorrow- CBSSN has 2 of the 5 games shown. You say well take those away- that would knock into the weeknight games then. CBS has I think contractually like at least 15 conference games a year guaranteed.

Butler will have a few spies in the GT fan base to throw them off and ensure a win. (Well I'll be wearing Butler gear, so not really hiding much.) ;) Expect Georgetown to fight hard for this one, but hope we keep the intensity up. It's got a huge, it's a trap, sign all over the game, so I hope that Holt has them ready to battle! Any GT fans in section 120 can say HI, I'm in row A. I'll be the Jarhead in BU gear. (The haircut is the same, but the belly has gotten bigger.)
Lets go Dawgs!

CBS Sports sublicensing agreement with FOX Sports to televise Big East games from 2013-14 to 2018-19. Up to 30 men’s basketball games per year.

Another reason why it hard for night games, most teams share their arena with pro teams. Plus, most Saturday's FS1 has UFC.
