I wonder how Syracuse fans would take losing 3 games in a row to UCONN, Georgetown, and St. John's?
Syracuse, N.Y. — It was hard to decide which was the more unusual occurrence at the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night — the sight of the Syracuse Orange losing by more than 30 points or the Syracuse fans booing their beloved Orange.
The St. John's Red Storm handed Syracuse its worst home loss in Jim Boeheim's 40-plus year coaching tenure on Wednesday night.
St. John's crushed Syracuse 93-60 in front of a frustrated and angry crowd at the Carrier Dome. The 33-point final margin blew away the Syracuse record for worst home loss. Seton Hall thumped Syracuse by 24 points, 85-61 on Feb. 7, 1998.
A large number of the 18,363 fans in attendance got up and left before the media timeout at the under 4-minute mark. And as they left, some fans expressed their displeasure with boos.
Boeheim left his starters in until 1:30 remained in the game. The crowd cheered as the Orange's walk-ons entered the contest.

If you combine tonight with what happened a couple of times this year already over on the Boneyard, this might be the best year in memory for reveling in the abject hopelessness of otherwise elitist blowhard fandom.
