Another AAC beat down. Good thing it wasn't a better team coming in or Nova might have been in trouble as someone mentioned earlier. :o

Gumby, c'mon man the only reason Nova won was because they were lucky with their schedule. Which, oddly enough, is the only reason they're 108-13 since the start of 2013. It's their lucky schedule man. Imagine if they didn't have that lucky schedule for the last four years? They would be a bottom team in the BE. Get with it.

Damn it Friar, you cracked the code! Lucky/ fixed scheduling over the long term.

First time in history a senior class from any Big 5 school went undefeated for 4 years. Pretty special times for Nova right now. Gonna miss hart, jenkins and yes, reynolds when they graduate. Hart is putting together a monster year.

Temple fans can't wait to avenge this loss next year, in football. lol
AAC is a collection of football rejects with delusion of grandeur, and its top teams can't wait to escape the conference. Here's hoping Jay Wright runs up this current Big 5 winnning steak to a comical level. It's absurd to keep this round-robin home & home format going. They need to figure out a tournament type format with 2 games max for each teams involved.

I think something kind of important to say. The Big East setting the schedule for Nova like that where they don't see top teams back to back like- that- it's actually a smart thing.

And like we said earlier, this didn't happen as much this year as in past years. Last near, Nova only once in the regular season played teams that were getting votes in the polls back to back games. That was #32 Seton Hall and #18 Butler early.

Rough night (and season) for the AAC. Monmouth beats Memphis, at Memphis. They'll be lucky to get three teams in this year.

Great win, Nova. You are the class of the Big East. Let's hope we can get you some company at the top!

Rough season? Lucky to get 3 teams in?

last year- where they got 4 teams in(without SMU) on this night they were 65-35 .650- with 12 conferences over .575 A10 was 83-40 .675. CAA was 47-30 .610.
this year- they are 65-38 .631- 7th best conference- with only 10 conferences over .530 WCC only other conference at .600 even. A10 is at 77-55 .583.

pretty damn close. with a MUCH weaker landscape. So, how exactly is it a rough season?

The thing that is so absolutely comical here is folks act like they don't want the AAC to get bids, but at the same time, don't want to face the fact that if the AAC doesn't get those bids, normally they'll go to P5 conference schools. Look at last weeks bracketology from Lunardi- and lets say Marquette out now, and Seton Hall in. These 5 teams were the next ones to get in..... Cal, Oklahoma, Clemson, Northwestern, and Texas Tech. How does any of those schools getting in place of AAC help the Big East out at all whatsoever? Can anyone answer me that question? I just don't understand that logic at all.

Yes. The reigning National Champion, with a 14-2 conference record last year, who has won 46 of their last 51 games, was very fortunate because of the Big East schedule makers. Do you even read the words you type anymore Stever?

Of course Gumby, the schedule makers are all about propping nova up artificially..... geesch its in the numbers for God's sake. It is the only possible explanation.

Honestly who cares about the ratings? We are a good enough conference to warrant another lucrative deal and FS1 is still in its infancy. I know I always mock those who say to be patient until freshmen become seniors to have any chance of winning (I stand by that btw), but a brand new sports network really does take time. Under Armour didn't succeed overnight. They had the main rival Nike who owned almost the entire market. They are now cutting into them significantly. That took time. The same can be said for FS1...right now ESPN still dominates, but FS1 will eventually get its place. I'm not really concerned with viewers, we are all diehards and we like watching so who cares about others? As long as we are on national TV and get good TV deals.
