10:00 left in 1st half:
St John's 27, Tulane 15.

SJU can score. Just a matter of their defense holding down the Wave.

So all those people who were complaining about St. John's taking too many 3's...
30 pts off 10/11 from the 3, 9:12 to go

This doesn't even come close to erasing the 5 losses in a row...we need to win these games regularly when playing lowly opponents. But it's a win and it wasn't close...thankfully. That was what should have happened. When the team is hot from 3 we can turn it on...that's why we are dangerous but our defense will be the key. Next year I'm really curious to see if Brown qualifies (my guess is no). If he somehow does qualify, I think he will instantly be our best big defensively and offensively. Clark is experienced and from MSU, so he will likely be solid at worst. Our 2 keys will be coaching and defense, 2 major concerns right now.

By the way...this game showcased just how radically different the bottom of the Big East is compared to the bottom of the AAC.

So they're going to shoot 91% on 3s from now on? OK, then we were wrong.

Nice win nonetheless, Tulane is putrid but it was a road game and any D1 road win deserves props.

Get the F outta here, we were all hoping to come away with a single win in the Bahamas. Minnesota we were underdogs. Only two of those five were we expected to win and only one was it a huge shock we lost. 3 games in 3 days is tough for a young team with little in game experience together. No it doesn't erase those loses but those loses (D State aside) were expected. Everyone who knows basketball knew we were a young team in a rebuilding year. You lose games in those situations. They sure as hell reacted to a bad lose in a positive way.

It's almost crazy to think that a very young and inexperienced team would play with wild inconsistency.

I was encouraged by the part of the game I saw. Although SJU shot a lot of 3s, they showed good ball movement before doing so.
