Katz giving credit to the conference, which means he'll be on Fox's college basketball coverage within a year since the Worldwide Leader doesn't like its talking heads to promote OPP

LOVE THIS CLIP!

Sustain the accomplishments to-date.

And imagine what it's going to look like when - not if, but when - Georgetown, St. John's and DePaul eventually get back on track.

Absolutely! Nova, along with the very successful start by our teams, has forced the national pundits to acknowledge the Big East. It never gets old for Creighton fans to be " thankful" for being a part of the Big East!

I think that's the key, the fact that the Big East has backed up Nova's title with a very solid start to this year. The start has validated what Nova did last year.

What I love the most about this conference unlike all the other conferences in the county, is we actually like each other. (mostly) I root for all Big East teams in the non conference and follow them pretty well. Yeah when we face each other we want to kick each other's butts like a brother rivalry. The Big East will remain on notice for everybody, the league is full of great players, great coaches, alot of respect. Let's continue to make each other's programs better. We aint afraid of those football conferences.

I'd say it doesn't validate what nova did but it does validate that Nova was well prepared for the tournament because of a strong conference that they played in

the start has validated that it wasn't a fluke. If the conference had fallen flat you better believe that's all ESPN would be saying right now.

My wife and I are both SHU alums. She is a partner in a law firm in midtown Manhattan and I'm a physician with an office on west 62nd street, and we live in Chelsea.
With all the alums from schools like Uconn and Cuse that we are surrounded by, I can tell you that none of them gave us a chance in hell of surviving as a top tier basketball conference 3 years ago. Their reasoning had nothing to do with our schools but was based on their belief that without Cuse, Uconn and Louisville the BE would become the A10.
To keep a long story short, the snide remarks are now few and far between and compliments about the conference are common. What I explain to them when it comes up, is that how much the 3 new teams have added to the league with a great brand of B-ball and crazed fans that make road games so difficult to win. With the additions of the 3 teams and the loss of teams like RU that could care less about BB, the BE has the potential to as good or better than the original BE ever was!
