More impressively are the levels at which Creighton is scoring the ball this year so far. eFG% around 65%. Damn!

They just handle their business. They are a legit top 10 team. Ole Miss is one of those teams that may not be ranked all the time, but they are always very dangerous. So far, Creighton has exceeded expectations of even the most optimistic on this board. Adding Xavier, Butler, and Creighton may go down as one of the best realignment moves ever. When you think about it, they all took a big step up in competition and kept winning. That's very very hard to do but for 3/3 of them to do so? Impressive. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but as we continue to prove that we are still a power conference, I have noticed that ESPN takes us more seriously. I must have seen 3-4 Big East teams featured on their Instagram feeds with top plays and recaps. That was not the case just a year or two ago. I know ESPN usually covers all ranked games, but even still I have noticed Big East teams featured more prominently.

Something tells me Creighton hasn't exceeded the expectations of GTMO.

I am definitely more than pleasantly surprised at how well the Jays have handled themselves thus far. Last night Mo didn't play particularly well (TOs, poor shot selection), and we rebounded terribly in the first half, but we still gutted out a win against an inspired opponent. Certainly there's a recipe for giving us trouble: make your shots (or get offensive rebounds) to control the tempo. They were sending three to the offensive glass and keeping two back so that even when we did get the rebound in the first half, we couldn't get out and push tempo. I appreciated hearing McD say that there was some chirping going on in the first half (player to player), but the Jays banded together and fought together. I think chemistry and a commitment to 'team' are what separates good teams with talent from great teams (Nova last year).

However, Zach Hanson's injury sounds serious (according to McD in the post-game presser), and that will hurt us dramatically. He's a solid contributor on both ends who can bang better with bigs than Patton can. I don't like the thought of us going an extended period without him. Patton can't bang as well (not his game), and he can't go 40 minutes per game.

Well the good thing with the injury is the upcoming schedule.

with only Nebraska as a road game even. If there's a time for the injury- it'd be now. Their next even tough game IMO is @ Arizona St on 12/20- 4 weeks from tonight. But he better be back by then, because week 1 of the BE is Seton Hall and Villanova.

Hey Stever, hey guys.

Jays are handling their business as was said earlier in this thread, but they've got some areas for definite improvement. Sorry that Zach Hanson went down - hopefully he gets back soon.

As Steve pointed out, the next several games should allow for Hegner and Martin Krampelj to get on the court more. Krampelj really needs to get out there- work out the jitters, settle down, and establish a comfort level on the court.

The conference is earning respect...excellent!

The Hoyas are getting mauled on the boards. They are in the danger zone of being blown out by Wisconsin.

Jay Bilas by far the worst announcer in sports. Since i never watch ESPN he's not part of my world.

He has such a hard-on for the Big East, he's personally offended that Georgetown is letting the game slip away. What a weirdo. It's like he's never seen a team fly 6000 miles, play 2 games in 2 days and get gassed. What a fuckin asshole. STFU Jay you freakin weirdo. "The Big East is a really good conference"... f--- you.

And I forgot what a ACC love machine ESPN is.

Fittingly, Wisconsin gets another offensive rebound at the end of the game.
