Xavier/Clemson and Wake Forest/Villanova are going at it now. One thing Clemson does well is play defense. They may have the overall talent as their ACC counterparts, but they get after it, defensively.

Villanova beat Wake Forest 97-78 or something.
Xavier beat Clemson 83-77. Was a 10 point game til late. Refs terrible, probably instructed by ESPN at Disney to keep the game as close as possible for the ACC. Mock cheer by Xavier fans with like 4 minutes left. Tech called on Gaston with like 30 seconds left and X about to ice the game with free throws. Joke.

Xavier is winning despite not having their senior PG Myles Davis. So they've asked Sumner to run the point. That's one of the reasons they're not destroying opponents.

Macura had 28, and Bluiett had 23 or so.

So this afternoon the Big East earned 2 wins vs the ACC. Nice job!

So...the fact that Clemson drubbed Davidson, X escaped Missouri, then Davidson handled Missouri actually had zero impact on the outcome of the Xavier/Clemson game, in spite of your ominous warning!?!?!?

Nice wins by Nova and X. I would have driven up to Charleston for the championship game on Sunday but it's at 9:30 pm.
