4 great games so far. The Big East has the tougher, more rugged teams.

One thing I've noticed is the lack of composure and attitudes of the Big Ten teams. Turgeon carrying on like he just won the NCAA's... Koenig acted like a jackass all game... a Northwestern player did the "eating dinner" gesture in a one point game (Raftery called him out with like 5:43 to go), and their point guard was prancing around on several plays.

General thoughts:

- DePaul:
- the Blue Demons have some nice new pieces... Cyrus was aggressive and scored some... Harrison-Docks did great at PG.... Eichelberger and McCalkum are serviceable freshmen...
- geez Garrett struggled with some poor decision-making in addition to a tough shooting night.
- They can't rebound, holy cow. Hopefully freshman big Levi Cook will play vs Rutgers. Hamilton IV could've helped but it was time to go because of his attitude and limitations.
- They look like a much more improved team than in the Purnell years... movement on offense, fewer mindless threes jacked up.
- despite improved play, vs Robert Morris they must've had 6 outlet or inbounds passes intercepted.
- Rutgers' coach is a good one, the Stony Brook guy Steve Pikiell. A loss to them by DePaul would suck but wouldn't shock me obviously due to Pikiell.

Creighton:
- outstanding win vs an annoying Wisconsin team.
- Patton looks amazing... overall size and strength and depth of the Bluejays is impressive... Foster and Huff are standouts, and Watson is fun to watch.
- CU allowed a bunch of offensive rebounds to Wisc which kept them in the game.
- Sweet 16 at a minimum is a very realistic outlook.

Villanova:
- i forgot to tape the Purdue game, but saw the demolition of Lafayette. Please destroy Virginia. Could easily repeat.

Seton Hall:
- Tough group, dominant inside, great attitudes, and Carrington is doing great up top.

Georgetown:
- i love that they're pushing the tempo... much more fun to watch them this year...
- Yeah, Maryland ending blew, but Hoyas showed they're gonna be a force this year.

St John's:
- completely different team with Lovett and Ponds instead of Mussini and Mvouka (sp). With a great backcourt and active bigs they can beat anyone. I think they're going to arrive this year, a year early... fearless attitude but not out of control like Harrison, Obekpa and the Johnnies from 2014.

Marquette:
- the Vandy game was fantastic, a great kickoff that set the tone for the Big East.
- Fischer looks like he bulked up and looked good.
- like all BE teams, their depth is outstanding.

Xavier:
- saw just a few minutes of the Buffalo game. Looked great.

Providence:
- great freshman class.

EDIT: this was written by someone late late at night who was falling asleep. I ran out of gas and became in coherent. I forgot to include Butler.

Butler:
- Chrabascz needs to reel it in a little bit, but he does make some key plays. Again like all Big East teams, Butler has some depth and muscle. Baldwin and Woodson are great additions. Looking forward to watching Brunk improve too.

it'll be interesting the next 2 nights. BE has had home court in 3/4 games. B10 gets home court in 3/4 last games, with the 1 home game being DePaul. Road games at Ohio St, Iowa, and Minnesota.
