Well Steve, a sweep tonight would big a big time statement. Maryland and Wisconsin are 2 good B1G teams.
I expect atleast a split. A sweep tonight would be crazy.

Can't settle against P5 conferences, gotta go for it all.

No doubt a sweep would be huge. But if we go 1-1, it's not close to being a bad thing. Even 0-2 wouldn't be awful- as long as it's followed up by good results the rest of the week. I mean, BE in next game for KP is only scheduled to be 6-4. Big East will lose a few games here- and it's not the end of the world.

Agreed. These are the 2 teams generally expected to be battling it out for 3rd place, right? Well if we want to be a top league, these are the kind of home games those teams need to win. I'll consider anything less than 2-0 a disappointment.

I disagree. You play top teams, you are going to lose some. But that is what makes college basketball so great. You can afford to lose games like this and not worry at all. To say if BE goes 1-1 it's a disappointment is loony IMO.

I said disappointment, not disaster. It's not like we're asking them to beat Duke at Cameron. I don't see anything loony about being disappointed if 2 of your league's supposed top teams fail to hold serve at home.

Yep good teams are expected to win at home, no matter the opponent.

Wow, Verizon Center looks relatively empty for a game like this.

I thought the same at first, but it just looks like the students didn't come for the game. The rest of the arena looks pretty full. Is it mid-terms at Georgetown?
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Other than Syracuse at the Verizon Center, does Georgetown ever draw fans? Upper deck is empty as well. As time goes let's hope the crowd fills in.

I also thought there would have been more red in the building. 17 miles for Maryland to Georgetown and 4 miles to the Verizon Center.

Looks like they drew just over 8k for their game against USC Upstate. That's not bad but doesn't feel like much in an arena that size.
