Great start to the Gavitt games last night. If my Jays and the Hoyas can hold court tonight, it will be an excellent start to the non-con!

I'm nervous though. We are fitting in several new pieces, and Wisky returns their top ten scorers and minutes guys from last season. Crap.

I wish this one was being played in mid-December. In our opener, Huff was clearly not back to the level he was down the stretch last year after missing all summer and a good chunk of the fall recuperating. Much the same for Zac Hanson. Mo played a lot like early season Mo last year, with too many turnovers and some questionable decisions. But, I am sure he will bounce back from that. It usually takes Mac several games to settle into a rotation, which can be a little disruptive to the flow. I am usually more optimistic, but right now I am in the mode of hoping it goes better than Indiana or Oklahoma last year. We are more talented, athletic and experienced than last year and we will get there, but I'm not sure it will be in the second game of the season.

I'm with you. Two home games with what should be big time atmospheres.

It'll be interesting to see the split in the Georgetown/Maryland game of fans.

Agreed. These are the 2 teams generally expected to be battling it out for 3rd place, right? Well if we want to be a top league, these are the kind of home games those teams need to win. I'll consider anything less than 2-0 a disappointment.

I disagree. You play top teams, you are going to lose some. But that is what makes college basketball so great. You can afford to lose games like this and not worry at all. To say if BE goes 1-1 it's a disappointment is loony IMO.
