with Marquette as 8th team out. Georgetown 2nd team in with a bye....

a few of the lower teams in not so great locations...
Creighton as 6 seed in Milwaukee- playing Wisconsin 2nd round.
Seton Hall as 10 seed in Salt Lake City- altitude again- playing Arizona 2nd round.

but not too bad. All the at larges in 9 conferences. Amazing how that's changed in 5 years.

As a Seton Hall fan, I'd pass on this as I think they can do much better than a 10 seed. As a Big East though, I'd sign up for 6 in and 1 on the bubble.

These bracketologys are fun to look at, stupid to over analyze at this point in the year, but I guess we need to get into midseason form of worrying about everything and anything

The thing is, anytime you are a 6 seed or lower, you are really pressing your luck with regards to having home court disadvantages in the 2nd round. see that with this projection.

If anything got lucky with it-
Georgetown with Syracuse/Michigan St in Orlando
Butler with Florida/Kansas in Milwaukee(would kind of think Kansas would prefer Tulsa over Milwaukee)

Marquette's non-conference includes:
Michigan (Last 4 Byes)
SMU (Last 4 in)
@Georgia (First 4 out)
Vanderbilt (First 4 out)

We'll have a great chance to prove that we belong (or don't belong) in the NCAAs right away. Assuming his predictions end up being in the ballpark.

Creighton has:
3 Wisconsin (home)
9 NC State (neutral)
13 Akron (home)

Of all things to be pessimistic about, worrying about the hypothetical matchups is the dumbest. Be better Stever.

Come on now, you know stever has to meet his daily quota of pessimistic BE posts. If there's nothing really to be pessimistic about, he invents something.

Leave it to stever to find something bad about getting 60% of the conference into the Tournament.
