"...and what about FS1’s history-making week which gave the network its highest-ratings and beat ESPN for the first time in all dayparts?
We had the highest single day in FS1 history. Then you have the announcement we had the highest week in FS1 history. We have internal goals that we set, that are on backs of napkins for Jamie and myself. We’re starting to have to create new ones. …My goal originally was to create habit-forming programming. We didn’t have that when we got here. There were some really quality shows. But there wasn’t a full slate of programming. We do know what the sports fans want. They want people, and talent, who are incisive and entertaining. Now we’re two puzzle pieces away from having that lineup that we desire in the daypart."
But remember people FS1 has no shot going against ESPN and conferences like the Big East/Big 10 are dumb for not having all of their content on ESPN. :coffee3:

Honestly, the only thing really missing is more live content (wish they got some of the NBA) and getting rid of Fox Sports Live.

Yeah, I think the NBA part was the one thing that they were expecting to get when they were starting that didn't come to fruition. I think they really wanted NBA and Big Ten...
I just wonder how long FSL goes. I mean Wednesday night it got like 47k viewers. The only time it gets any semblance of ratings is when there's something before it. Absolutely no one is turning on FS1 to watch their crap.

The Big East was dumb to not have ESPN with anything.
Big Ten was smart as they have Fox with stuff- but still will have a major presence on ESPN as well. They get to have their cake and eat it too.
The one thing that will be interesting is in a few years. the CBS deal with Fox expires. I do wonder if the Big East will push for that sublicensing deal to go to ESPN instead of CBS. And I would have to think that ESPN would be a willing partner quite frankly.
