I have to go with this line-up.

Given his historical accomplishments, should JTIII put it together this year and have a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, then he'll go flying up this list next year.

1) Wright
2) Cooley - Watched him be so impressive with below average program at Fairfield
3) Mack - Hasn't skipped a beat in BE transition
4) JT3 - he's looked better than recent history
5) McDermott - slightly arbitrary rank
6) Willard - i really don't know if they succeeded DESPITE him or not last year; good coaching tree
7) Holtmann - feel like he's been treading water since the Stevens departure; think he does well with talent that he has
8) Leito - he's a better coach than what he'll be able to accomplish at Depaul
9) Mullin - jury still out both on him and Richmond as an assistant, but other coaches seem solid; giving benefit of doubt
10) Wojo - like Mullin no previous head coach experience; someone has to be last

And please get Mullin right at least on a BE board. He is a Dream Team Hall of Famer, Wooden Award Winner and 3x BE player of year. Misspelling seems to be a frequent intentional slight on non BE boards.

I did notice that typing on my phone Mullin autocorrected to Mullins several times and I had to change it back.

You just stepped in it big time. First of all, smiley face :D

But, it is Leitao, not Leito. Sooo, if we want to get PO'd on Mullins, let's get equally PO'd on Leito. We will assume it wasn't intentional.

Again.

As Bum Phillips said. "He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n" Who is that coach in the Big East?

Here is my list and my reason:
1) Wright, 13 NCAA appearances and a .663 career winning percentage.
2) Cooley, .589 winning percentage with 3 NCAA's. I like his style, but this year will be his biggest test. Next year he likely won't be #2.
3) Mack, 6 NCAA's count a lot. .678 winning percentage is tops in the league.
4) Holtmann, 2 NCAA's and a .539 winner. This falls in the category of getting the most out of the talent he has. He took a bad situation with Miller and made out pretty well.
5) McDermott, 6 NCAA's (but without Doug McD how many?) and a .612 winning percentage. See how well he does this year.
6) JT III, 9 NCAA's and .655. I don't know, the numbers are good but his teams always seem to underachieve. Don't think he could be his'n with your'n.
7) Wojo 0 NCAA, .508 winner. Hasn't done much. Had a lottery pick last season but didn't parlay that into an NCAA.
8) Willard, 1 NCAA and .526. Hall fans were ready to run him out of town after 2015. Then Whitehead literally saved his job. See what this year brings.
9) Mullins, .333 winner and 0 NCAA. Didn't see much coaching last year - let his assistants handle TO's. TBD.
10) Leitao, .502 and 2 NCAA. Wasn't very good his first trip to Chitown and not seeing much of an upside this time.

OK, take your pot shots. I'm sure I have offended most of the posters. That is fine. This is my list. There has to be a #1 and there has to be a #10. No top range, middle range, bottom range cop outs.

Doug's Dad ahead of JTIII? It's not even a conversation until he can get to the round of 16. Even then its a stretch.

Mack at 5? He has 3 Sweet 16's and 6 NCAA's in 7 years. Not to mention finishing in the top 10 last year and likely this year.

Depends on what the criteria is. If we are talking about this year who would you rather have coach your team, I'd say there is certainly room for debate.

Taking a different spin on this... Who would I want leading V'nova tomorrow if I had a pool of these 10 to choose from.

1. JW - NC; 48-6 regular season BE
2. Mack - solid; tough out
3. Cooley - big fan on and of court; reps PC well
4. Holtman - like him; gets a lot of his players
5. JTIII - style frustrates me but can recruit
6. Big Mac - needs to teach tougher D; offense fun to watch
7. Mullin - HOF
8. Wojo - needs to start producing though
9. Willard - is he more than one (great) class?
10. Leitao - perhaps he changes my mind this year
Go Nova!

LOL Touche! And I like DL! Of course one could say Mullin is infinitely more accomplished and my error was as a Big East fan on a BE board.

I wonder if fans just get Mullins stuck in their heads because of UMass.
