So-
1 Villanova 81(unanimous)
2 Xavier 69
3 Creighton 64
4 Georgetown/Seton Hall 53
6 Butler 44
7 Marquette 35
8 St John's 21
9 Providence 18
10 DePaul 12

looks like Xavier and Creighton got all but 3 votes for 2nd/3rd.

Pretty close to our poll on here quite frankly.

Fischer doesn't do much for me. I think Cheatham is more worthy of that list than him. Maybe he's getting the senior treatment.

Maybe it's because I don't watch DePaul too much but I don't see it in Garrett Jr. He's a good play but I don't think he's second team Big East.

Surprised that X was not a unanimous or close to unanimous 2nd place preaseason pick. If my math is right they are 4 pts below a possible max of 73. I guess either 4 coaches had Creighton ahead of them or maybe one or two had them out of the top 3. I don't see that with what they have coming back.

from what I can tell math wise a unanimous 2 would get 73 votes. Unanimous 3 would get 63 votes.

So for Xavier and Creighton combined, they got 133 of 136 possible votes. Probably some had Georgetown or Seton Hall in 3rd over Creighton(but 4 having Creighton over Xavier).

I wonder how much Myles Davis played into that.
