Marquette Getting New Uniforms

Awesome! I always enjoy seeing what teams do with new uniforms. Is there a direction you're expecting them to go in?

Seton Hall also released a new uniform last week- a road blue version of the throwback script uni they wore last year. I'd post a pic, but I don't want to hijack a Marquette post with the first reply.

There will be SIX uniforms. White, yellow, navy blue and powder blue. Plus, turquoise for the native americans and grey as the six uniform.

Paying homage to the two banned jerseys from the 70s (bumble bee and untucked) is all we know right now.

I'm excited to see them! Though 6 seems a bit excessive. Personally, I think any more than 3 is too much. I like a traditional home and away, then have some fun with one alternate. SHU is guilty of having a crazy number of uniforms too. I'd like to see them drop everything but the two script unis. Maybe try adding a black or gray (not both) script for a modern twist on the throwbacks.

I agree that 3 should be the regular working number, but ideally I would like to see 4 jerseys each season. The regular home and away jerseys, an alternate jersey that can be a little different or have a non traditional color, and then one throw back jersey game each season. That is the jersey mix that I enjoy the most.

Yes to the untucked... hope it's their primary uni... said many times by me but '77 was the first year i followed college hoops closely... the untucked were awesome and designed by one if the players... national champions...!

Also, though the NCAA banned untucked jerseys, the Big East should give Marquette permission to wear them in conference games (if possible).
