The B1G, ACC, SEC, PAC-12 and Big 12 will each be making tens of millions of dollars per year to UConn's $1.7 million per year. Even if/when the AAC gets a new TV deal, UConn will still be making peanuts compared to their former Big East brethren that have found new stable homes. UConn simply will never make up that difference, and with each passing year, the gap gets wider and wider.

The reality today is that UConn football, due to its location and its lack of recent/current success, is a big reason why they are not seriously being considered for the ACC/B1G. If they had Houston's success, they'd be a shoe-in. Their football program, in a realignment sense, has hurt them a lot more than helped them.

They certainly did so today. They lost to Syracuse. I repeat: they lost to Syracuse; that is pathetic.

lets be honest, contrary to what some claim, Syracuse certainly wasn't chosen by the ACC because of its FB team. UConn needs similar circumstance

Actually, at this rate of on-field performance, we should be expecting BE expansion by 2 teams by next season: UCONN and ND.

21 point favorites and they lost. To Duke. Duke.

NDNATION is melting down.

Perhaps I was being flippant.

I just never thought I would see the day where DUKE would beat ND in FOOTBALL period, let alone in SOUTH BEND.

Here's an informed piece by Jerry Carino (writes a lot of Seton Hall/ NJ CBB) on why UConn to the Big East may be more of a "when" than an "if."

The season is done...still incredibly bummed. We had 5 legit teams that could have done some damage in the tourney this year IMO. But we must move on... And the first order of business is welcoming The Huskies back. I thought I'd bump this poll and thread to give the Husky fans some light reading about how teams felt about the prospect your return back in 2016. Some interesting takes for sure and a consensus against (in the poll at least).
