Carrington certainly has the talent and athleticism to be listed among the league's top guards- I just have one problem with him being towards the top of this specific list. He hasn't played point guard before. It's a new position he's learning for this season. Of course, that didn't stop Isaiah Whitehead last year- he learned the position on the job last year and was arguably the best PG in the league by season's end, but it takes a special kind of talent to pull something like that off. Carrington may well prove by season's end that he belongs among the league's top point guards, but I wouldn't put him there yet.

Mussini isn't going to be the PG this season for SJU. It's going to be Lovett who starts all season long. Mussini might get some time at the point in some packages but he will be a SG.

I think Mo Watson Jr. will be the best PG to start the season but Sumner could easily be the best PG by the end of the season. Also, I loved watching Brunson last year and can't wait to see what he does with the keys to the car.

I don't even think Campbell will be our starting Point Guard. Possibly the first game, but by BE play at the latest I expect it to be Juco transfer Mulmore. Possibly even freshman Mosley.

I also doubt that Lewis will be our point guard at the end of the season. Good chance that Savage slides over from the two and Woodson moves into the starting lineup.

Lewis had a pretty decent non-conference last year. He was probably the main reason we beat Purdue. But he got killed in the Big East when he had to face off against big, physical point guards.

I'll throw my hat in the ring

1. Watson Jr.
2. Sumner
3. Carrington
4. Brunson
5. Cartwright
6. Garrett Jr.
7. Lovett Jr
8. Carter Jr
9. Lewis
10. Mulmore

I feel both Carrington & Cartwright are being slept on. Lovett will make a huge impact for the Johnnies. I know Carter is only rated 8th (6th-8th were a crapshoot) on my list but I still feel he is not appreciated enough, true PG who may not even start.

I would go with Ed, homer pick I know, but I agree with Hopkins that his best games are in front of him and @ 6-5, 6-6, his length is the deciding factor as he can score on anybody.
