That must be an error. Butler lists its endowment as $190M, which is unfortunately still too low.

When I was starting at MU we were 74 I believe, maybe 75 when I graduated we were 77 and now we've fallen to the mid 80s wtf.

Seems like as good a place as any to put this: Creighton breaks ground today on a new $84.5MM state of the art building to house its School of Dentistry, to be completed in about 20 months.

I agree that the trend is overall disappointing, but I actually look at this year as a win. Numerous universities, such as Villanova, that were previously considered regional are now considered in the National category. Nova came in at 50 in their inaugural year, we stood pat at the 86 we were last year. What this tells me is that we improved, even though our rank stayed the same, due to the fact that we are competing with more and better schools now. Hopefully in the upcoming years the long term strategy continues to pay off and we begin to head towards our stated goal of a ranking in the 50s. If we don't start making progress in the next few years, or if we continue to slide, my guess is Lovell will feel his seat heating up.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

You have a good point but even with that mindset I'm upset we fell 11 or 12 spots since 2009.

By the way I hope graduate life is treating you well.

Xavier actually comes in 4th in the same ranking, so the Big East takes slots #1, #2, and #4 in Regional Colleges Midwest.

is there any chance of Creighton buying the land near campus that looks like it is old warehouses and lots?

I'm pretty sure they own some of that land already but I don't know specifically which lots....

I think you're right and I think the Dental school is going on some of that land. It would be nice to get rid of all of the buildings that gosports is talking about. (except the Haunted House)
