Yes, I know all that. Thanks, but CBS has the rights to the #1 game each week and SEC Title Game. Has nothing to do contract wise there is not another game on a different network. If you want to think that, fine. Going back to the main point, college hoops will lose very bad going up versus a so called money 5 league title game. Even more so the case, when it's the liquid ratings gold in the SEC Championship Game. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that X at BU is on espn2, it's just not a good thing on that date/time.Savannah Jay wrote:MUPanther wrote: Well, the game is on CBS. I know it's on CBS...but the SEC and ESPN are in bed together. Like, the SEC network was created by the SEC and ESPN. The SEC network is run out of offices that ESPN has in Charlotte, NC. Every weekend during the season, CBS picks its game for that weekend, and then ESPN gets their picks, and the rest are shown on the SEC network, basically. So every weekend during football season, there's one SEC game on CBS and the rest on are ESPN run networks.
That would be the reason ESPN doesn't put something opposite the SEC championship game.

Crosstown Shootout is set for January 26th (Thursday), 2017. This will presumably be on "Rivalry Week" and on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Go ahead stever, tell us all how horrible this will be.
