Now been over a full month since this topic was created- here's a look at the team rankings:

2017 Top 50:

July 23, 2016:
#7 Creighton
#21 Seton Hall
#22 St. John's
#23 Villanova
#26 Providence
#37 Xavier
#38 DePaul
#43 Marquette
#50 Butler

August 25, 2016:
#7 Xavier (+30)
#9 Creighton (-2)
#24 Butler (+26)
#25 St. John's (-3)
#32 Seton Hall (-11)
#36 Villanova (-13)
#44 Providence (-18)
#50 DePaul (-12)

#57 Marquette (-14)

So overall, still 8 out of 10 teams in the top 50 with Marquette right outside. Only lost 17 spots for the entire conference. Holding very strong.

For Creighton, Ty-Shon dropped from 52nd to 64th in new rankings. And, more astounding, Mitch Ballock dropped from 56th or 58th to 99th in the new rankings, despite the fact that both reportedly had strong summer AAU campaigns. While a drop of a dozen spots for Ty-Shon might not be out of the ordinary in the ratings game, Mitch's drop of over 40 spots is. Undoubtedly he would still be top 50 had he committed to KU.

frankly it doesn't bother me as long as we can still peg him a top 100. he played exceedingly well this summer, honestly I am higher than him than I am on ty-shon, at least for immediate impact's sake.

Per Scout, for Xavier:

Commits:
- Elias Harden dropped out of 100 though still a 4 star.
- Naji Marshall jumped from 57 to 36

Recruits:
- Paul Scruggs jumped from 37 to 31
- Kris Wilkes jumps to 18

Scout has Ballock as #61, i think he dropped a few spots. Alexander is still unranked with them, probably the only recruiting service that has him not in the top 100.

Huge weekend for Butler with Wabissa Bede and Kyle Young on campus. Both are top 100 guys that Butler's in a good position with. Would be amazing to lock one or both of these guys up.

Nova update for 2017:

In addition to lone commit Dhamir Crosby-Roundtree

Nova is in final five for:
5* guard Lonnie Walker (very high priority and push for local kid), 5* PG Quade Green (not likely), 5* Kevin Knox wing (Very unlikely) 4* wing Jermaine Samuels 4* and Darryl Morrsell Guard.

in final 8 for 4* Forward Jordan Tucker.

Adding one or more of these guys (Nova nation really wants Walker) will seriously bump those rankings.

still for the team ratings only 67 schools have any kids. Still way too early to put any stock on the team ratings. DePaul for instance has nobody as a 4 or 5 star but is 50th. That's a joke. Think I saw something like only 27 of the P5 schools have any one as of yet.

Yeah, let's ignore the huge number of 4 star recruits the Big East has already accumulated, and great recruiting classes like Xavier's, and instead focus on the 50th best class.

Oh, and side note:

Four-star wing Jermaine Samuels picks Villanova despite getting a Duke offer earlier this week

Nova jumps to the 12th ranked class.
