I'm not so sure I agree with that. A basketball career is limited to a certain number of years so I see no issue with leaving to get paid. You can always finish school down the road and it will still be paid for. It's already pretty known within X circles that Trevon will be leaving to go pro after this season regardless of NBA prospects and I can't say I blame him. You reach a point where you can't possibly raise your NBA draft stock in college so if you want to go get paid, go do it while you can.

I hear you but, I wouldn't be surprised if that contract is not even the amount of his education, room & board the next two years. He would also lose out on the development and free pub (Big East (Fox) & NCAA) aspect. It may be a net even or loss. He's making the right decision plus gets to spend more time with his peers and becoming a well rounded person.

Slightly OT but the Thunder have signed Semaj Christon, so we got another guy in "the league".

I definitely understand the desire to start making money, but if I'm a college player with pro but not NBA talent I would be very hesitant to go to China. There are numerous cases of Chinese teams simply deciding not to pay foreign players with no real consequences.

This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
