OT: Who will the Big 12 add? (poll)

Now that it is pretty much confirmed that 2-4 teams are going to be added I would be curious to hear who we think will be added. I personally have never watched a CFB game start to finish so I have no idea.

I hope Cinci gets picked up. I never had any ill will against them but I'm sure X fans probably would love to see them get excluded just so they can continue to rag on 'em.

BYU would be a good addition on the football side.

Probably hit up UCF and/or USF so they can get in the Florida market.

I actually want UC to get in because it makes the rivalry and the basketball season more interesting.

I selfishly am hoping UCONN gets excluded so we can try to steal them back. Other than that, I have no horses in this race.

Just announced that USF is being investigated for academic fraud. They arent UNC so expect the hammer, they are out....

I don't think the Florida schools have a chance. Same with UConn, too far away. The more AAC schools leave the better the odds UConn comes crawling back.

Can you imagine the tears in Storrs when it's announced Cincy, Memphis, Temple and Houston have been invited ti the Big XII? hahahaha If that happens watch for a coup from the basketball boosters to take back the athletic department.

That would be great but the 20 year extension to their grant of rights pretty much ended any of those delusions. Thats why they are openly accepting G5 resumes.

I'm in the minority, but I picked UCONN and Cincy. Cincinnati has been pretty decent in football and adding them aids the Big 12 with what should be the goal of every major conference in college sports: reach the East Coast. Obviously, Cincy is hardly on the East Coast, but it would allow the Big 12 to position themselves into that part of the country (WVU has helped to a degree). UCONN would be the slam dunk add for this same reason.

When conferences choose new members in today's day and age, proximity to the East Coast is a major factor. Lots of money to be made. Prestige has really started to take a back seat to profit in college sports.
