Palm's first bracketology has five Big East teams, led by Villanova and Xavier as two and three seeds respectively. Creighton, Butler, and Seton Hall round out his list of DanceCard entries for next year's Dance. Here's the link: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

There are a lot of national guys that are pretty positive about my Bulldogs. Our fans aren't quite as optimistic. I'd say most of us are thinking NIT, but a set up for a really nice 2017-2018 season.

Hate to nitpick, but he has Nova as a one seed.

Prefer the #2..... seems to work out better for us! Good to see the early projection 50% of BE teams...

They'll make the Tournament. It will be another mid-conference 'meh' finish, but they'll end up similar to the last two years in that regard. As a conference, you are doing pretty well when the teams that are finishing near the middle of the league are pretty much automatic in winning at least a game when they get there as well.

I do not see Butler making the tournament. Only got a 9 seed last year and that was with Dunham and Jones.

Big East gets 5 yet again.
Xavier, Nova
Seton Hall, Creighton
1 of Marquette and Georgetown.

I know you guys are probably tired of this by now, but can someone please explain to me why Marquette will be good next year?

lol, I honestly don't know, they were decent last year I guess. I should've said. 4 solid tournament teams and likely 1 more will rise to the occasion and make it.

It isn't just you. I'm seeing it all over the site. I am not a believer.

Marquette may be the most intriguing Big East team next year.

Their guards are such an interesting mix. You have Cheatam and Carter returning who both showed flashes, especially Cheatam. And then you bring in a stud in Markus Howard. But then you also have some more ball dominant guards in Rousey, Duane Wand Katin Reinhardt (and to a lesser extend JaJuan). Assuming Duane and Katin don't play too much hero ball I think the guards will take a big step overall.

However, they are probably going to be playing a ton of 4 guard lineups. Fischer is their only true big man who has played minutes and while he has some strengths he will still struggle with the athletic bigs in the Big East I think. It's really tough for me to see any scenario where they don't get crushed on the glass nightly, even against other teams that play small ball.

Personally I think they will be a bubble-NIT team this year with their big step forward coming next year.
