Seriously... has St. Johns actually won some games (you know real results, not the made up fantasies in your head) recently that I don't know about? Keep bragging about giving Xavier all they could handle last year... Always the best class in the conference until you have ANOTHER bad season. Same story every year. At this point who is keeping track? The last "great" player you tried to brag about helping St. Johns is now facing attempted murder charges

Name the last "great" Butler player? Oh wait, their success was based on a system from a coach who is now gone. Your troll game is weak.

I'd say Gordon Hayward is having a pretty good NBA career, or at least good enough for a $63mil contract.

You didn't even know what school you were trying to bash 3 posts ago, and you though JP Macura was a freshman. Give it a rest.

The system hasn't actually changed from one coach to the next. Basically since Collier has been the coach, a lot of the principles and even the set plays themselves haven't changed. There have been tweaks from one regime to the next, but it's still the same system. I'd also like to know what constitutes a "great" player in your eyes, because one could argue that Roosevelt Jones was a more valuable piece for Butler than Kellen Dunham and Jones didn't get invited to play in the summer league and Dunham did. If you're talking strictly in terms of talent or NBA potential, then no, Butler hasn't had a great player since Shelvin Mack, but he and Hayward weren't highly rated coming out of high school, so it's not like you could point to that class and say that they were better rated than any guy or guys from a major program that year.

In any case, I'd rather keep this somewhat on topic as well, so I can see Gates from Xavier being a breakout guy this year. I think Booth could see his stats take a big jump from where he was at last year, Fazekas from Providence could also make a big jump, etc. I don't expect anyone from Butler to be on this list, though I do think that a guy like Tyler Wideman is going to need to make a jump in order for Butler to stay right in the middle of the pack for the league.

Gordon Hayward and Matt Howard were pretty damn good.

Last time I checked, Butler has won a few more Tournament games than St. John's since since Stevens left in 2013. Pretty easy to do that when SJU hadn't even won one.

As a reminder, here's your grand total of Tournament victories THIS MILLENNIUM: ONE

Too bad we weren't in the Horizon league to get a lot of chances in the tourny.

And the post I was replying to said he was a household name which now proves he isn't.

Shouldn't SJU have made the Tournament on a consistent basis with its awesome recruiting? I don't even know what your argument is man.
