Back to back Big East/Big Ten games on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday? Saturday doubleheaders?
I don't know/ remember/ feel like looking up the number of B1G games that will be on FS1 each week.
What do you guys think?

Why is it bogus? The Big Ten on ABC has been a way of life.

I popped over to the other board to read more about this and Stever was in classic stever form that Fox is F'ed and ESPN got a great deal.

With less B1G games on the ESPN family of networks, the AAC can move of ESPNEWS.

He's calling it bogus that the Big Ten has a 50 year relationship with ESPN. ESPN isn't 50 years old and neither was it always in the same corporate family as ABC.

I never once said that Fox was f'ed. I just think for $50 million Fox would have gotten a smidge bit more. The game selections are going to be close to 50/50 in terms of quality. And depending on things- it's possible for ESPN to actually have a better schedule- if they draft weeks that there is just 1 good game(like week 1 this year where it's LSU/Wisconsin, and then 2nd game is maybe Hawaii @ Michigan). So if ESPN took LSU/Wisconsin, there is a HUGE gap in that week that's not necessarily there in a week that Fox gets..... I think ESPN got a pretty good deal quite frankly.

Ya, sounds very picky. Big Ten has been with ESPN since 1979.

My 106 year old great aunt Bertha** has driven a Mercedes Benz her whole life... she drove a 1948 Plymouth Coupe de Luxe, later had a Chysler Cordoba with corinthian leather, upgraded to a sweet K-Car in the mid 80's, and now drives a PT Cruiser... she has a 70 year relationship with Mercedes Benz, she's kind of a big deal.

I think one thing with things is there's going to be an element of luck to the draft selections. A week that maybe looked like a dog winds up having a great game unexpectedly that shifts things one way or the other. college football can be so unpredictable.

Part of the deal for Fox includes the championship game.

FOX and FS1 needed to get part of the package. They did that, and more. Crazy how Stever is painting it as a bad thing that Fox didn't get a significantly better deal than ESPN. Simply matching them is more than enough.

FOX get the B1G Championship Game every year is huge and odds are you lock Michigan vs Ohio State up every year. There is your $50 million gap without seeing what the deal really is for football & basketball.

People (read stever) forget that negotiations are a 2 way street. I am sure The Big Ten could point to Fox's ratings and demand more money. ABC and ESPN are the absolute behemoths on the Sports media scene whereas Fox is the midget. For FOX to get one of the hottest properties available and get priority over ABC and ESPN is an absolute steal.
