I wouldn't worry about any of this. Lunarsi has a hard time being right when he has a seasons worth of info in front of him let alone 6 months before the season even starts.

Lunardi just had his worst season in recent years, but he is still ranked 22 out of 88 "veteran bracketologists." Pretty solid job (though some years back, he wasn't that great). Patrick Stevens, Warren Nolan, and Jeff Borzello are the other big media guys that stand out.

Yea, but they don't rate how accurate the predictions are except for the final bracket. If Creighton is as good as many here expect then Lunardi will change his bracket and his bad prediction will be like it never happened.

I was more directly responding to his claim that Lunardi with "a seasons wroth of info" is unreliable. That's simply not true. As for right now, Lunardi has to go with the minimal information we have, just like everyone else, so there is a going to be a decent amount of variance. Putting Creighton as an 11 seed isn't crazy either. A position somewhere between 41 and 44 isn't that much lower than the back end of the top 25 (where I think a lot of people here are placing Creighton). That's particularly true when you consider that there's usually not a marked difference in teams after the top 15 or so. I disagree with him, but there isn't an enormous gulf in predictions.

Bias aside I think Georgetown is in and Seton Hall/Butler is not.

They get the ACC bids wrong every year. When are they finally going to realize that the ACC isn't a likely 9-11 bid league but more of a 6-8

Being ranked 22nd is pretty poor when you're the featured bracketologist on the worldwide leader. Most of those 88 are guys just working out of their basements and are more apt to make wild predictions to get attention.

To what tears are you referring, FDS? Why would any Big East fans (or posters) whine or cry over their favorite Conference getting half its members in the NCAA Tourney? The only reason I could think of is if those five members were all seeded below where the current polls would indicate they belonged. That hasn't happened in the past three seasons and isn't really indicated in this ridiculously early form either.

Exactly, even with a full seasons worth of material in front of him their are more than 20 people who are more accurate. Top 25 out of 300+ schools is good, top 25 out of 88 isn't as good.
