Last year's RPI's for this year's PC opponents:
Vermont - 126.
New Hampshire - 163.
Maine - 314.
UMass - 174.
Rhode Island - 122.
Wagner - 168.
Saint Francis NY - 273.
Memphis - 140.
Virginia - 3 or Iowa - 26.
Ohio State - 78.
Boston College - 248.
Brown - 309.
Grambling - 350.

Rhode Island will be top 25 id imagine with their back court being so good. Xavier tried scheduling them but they declined due to an already loaded strength of schedule from what I heard. Also Ohio State will be much better(if not Thad Matta will be getting close to that hot seat).

Yeah. URI will definitely be Providence's most interesting/best game outside of the Emerald Coast Classic games.

St. Francis (NY) and Grambling were part of the Emerald Coast Classic. My only other major complaint is Maine - that's an RPI killer. Yes, I know coach Bob Walsh used to be a PC assistant, but that's a bad game to take. And if we are going to play Maine, I'd rather we open with them instead of UVM (who I think might be favorites to win their conference?).

If Bentil was back I'd have preferred another high profile game but he's not...

Great place, Naval Station Newport, on Narragansett Bay. I think jet915 said he spent time there too. If you were there during the 70's, you might've been on hand for an America's Cup competition... used to be every 3 years... 1971, 1974, 1977... Ted Turner captained the winning yacht in 1977 and I think 1974 too... Australia beat us in 1983 by using a (probably) illegal "winged" keel, the cheaters!!!

PC has always played both Brown and URI each year. Actually, back in the 70's and earlier, the Friars played each of them twice a year. They stopped doing this in around 1980, but there's never been a year that these three teams haven't played each other (Brown and URI always play each year too).

Yeah, did officer training in Newport in 2005, pretty city.

This OOC schedule sucks, I get that we will be very young next year but sheesh this OOC schedule is as bad as UConn's conference schedule.

Spent a 2 year (short tour) at the Naval Hospital in Newport. Great town. Saw the 1974 Amer Cup and the return of the Jazz Fest. Excellent tour there. ;)

Ours isn't very good either. Cupcakes with a sprinkle of away games to Minny (Gavitt) and Cuse.

You have to factor in Atlantis though. Going to wind up with 5 really good OOC games at least. Saw might get Florida Gulf Coast in the Atlantis mainland game- which would be pretty good actually. Depending on who you guys exactly play in Atlantis- it's actually not too bad. Not outstanding- but not too bad either..
