Holtmann could recruit guys off the street and still have a team that plays basketball better than a Mullins coached team. At this point St. John's might as well be Queens College (where at least the athletes would get an education too) when it comes to relevance in college basketball. BTW how many St. John's priests have been accused of sex abuse or smut peddling? I'll go feed the pigs, you go do whatever it is that you do (I think we all have a pretty good idea) at St. John's in the name of religion....

Nope, I've been a long-time lurker and decided to finally post for the first time to respond to your 'Butler will fail to stay relevant comment.'

SJ has been to 4 NCAA tournaments this millennium! And one of those was vacated. So 3 tourney appearances. 3.
Butler is no Nova, but we've been to 11 in that same time period. So bringing up relevance is comical. Scoreboard.

What league were you playing in while making those 11? We'd have a hell of a lot more if we played in the Horizon and Butler would have a hell of a lot fewer if they played in the Big East. So quit your chest pounding while you're ahead. The millennium is 16 year old, so 3 out of 16 is bad but not unheard of bad. We've been to 2 in the last 6 years. The difference is we're rebuilding while you're falling off after losing your best coach.

You hear that guys, everyone who went to a catholic school is a kid toucher. Thats what this Butler fan is saying.

If you were smart you'd look around and realize the company you keep dummy.

We were playing in the Big East the last 2 years... after having our worst season in a very long time. Didn't take us 25 years to rebuild. The difference is, that we actually rebuilt and won tourney games. St. John's fans keep saying that they are rebuilding, but they have 'built' NOTHING.

Pretty sure you are the only one who said that... Are you admitting to being a "Kid Toucher" (again your words)? St. John's has had a list of people hired by the university, put in powerful positions with the university that have abused their power and in some cases sexually abused other humans. Do you deny this? This has happened/is likely still happening.

Butler won at least one game in 9 of those 11 appearances. So Horizon League, A10, Big East.. it didn't matter. They deserved to be there.

And the seeds Butler received during those appearances were: 12,10,12,5,7,9,5,8,6,6,9. So all but maybe one or two of those appearances Butler was (or would have been) an at-large bid. So the conference had nothing to do with it.

But by all means, don't let facts get in the way of your argument.

Yup, keep telling yourself that. Tell yourself that as you sink further in the conference standings. We stole Kentucky's best recruiter, stole Iowa States best recruiter, added Hall of Famer Mitch Richmond to the mix. I don't need any Butler fan to tell me how good my team is. I know i'll be able to enjoy kicking your butts for the foreseeable future.

Lets see how Holtman does with his own players now.

Proof of any of that? Butler has in the past hired a list of people who touched farm animals inappropriately. Are you denying this?

Our priests bang women, not little kids. Do your research before you talk smack to someone who is actively doing research on how dirty their school actually is.

BTW im not catholic moron.

Once again, did you play Cuse, Louisville, Pitt, Nova, WVU, Notre Dame, Cincy etc night after night or were you playing inferior competition? Ask the rest of the C7 if it was easy playing in that old BEast of a conference night in and night out. You lose all credibility trying to even somewhat compare it to the Horizon.

Likely better than how well you have done grasping spelling. The name is Holtmann. I didn't know Mitch Richmond had any eligibility left, I will worry about him when he is on the court. You are right about one thing though, you don't need me telling you about how good St. John's basketball is, you can just look at their record online. I was just saving you the time and disappointment of looking through all those bad team's records.
