Hart returns to 'Nova for senior season

Haven't seen this posted, a lot of smoke around Josh Hart withdrawing from the draft shortly. With him back, Villanova is scary good. 1-9 as good as anyone in the country. It continues to be good to be a 'Cats fan!

WOW! Big news for the champs. Dethroning them is going to be much harder this year. Pencil Nova in as the top dog in the BE for yet another season.

That's why I said "a lot of smoke" vs. "he's officially coming back". All insider info and even some local media are saying he's coming back. Josh wants to make the announcement on his terms, which is completely understandable.

I am looking forward to seeing a Josh Hart with a chip on his shoulder. He's already pretty damn intense.

Geez Sarge, I'm so excited. We're about to meet the Champs!

Sarge: Yeah, it's a big deal, heh, heh. I met the Pope once, back in da day. There is a protocol to follow:

1) Do not grab or touch the hand. Gesture as if you would lightly hold the hand, near the base of the fingers - but do not make any contact.
2) Do not touch nor lift the hand. You must bow and bend down to hand level.
3) Purse the lips as if to kiss a bride. Move in to execute the kiss.
4) Do not touch the hand - neither manually nor with the respectful, tongue-less kiss. The Ring is the thing!
5) The Ring...Kiss the Ring, you idiot!

Whether the Pope, royalty, or the champs...protocol must be followed.

But Sarge? They're not wearing any rings - Jostens hasn't delivered them yet!

Sarge: Then in the spirit of that wise, age-old adage, popularized by the Red Sox, Northwestern, da Bears...
"fake it till you make it.

Both da champs and X have lost too much. Both will swoon and take a couple of steps back in 2016-17. Oh, they will be good enough to win 20, good enough to get/stay ranked for most (if not the entire) season, and good enough to contend for 2/3 to 3/4 of the season.

But...in the final analysis they will fall short...coin flip for which one wins 3rd place? Both lost critical talent, will be short in the pivot - both in size and experience. A very tough task to overcome with frosh and new transfers. Like the damn Brits, their days in the sun have set - like most fighters (and the Brits) they long for "one more payday".

They could have gone out on top - as Champs! Nope...not this year, not this champ. Ol' Jay and 'Nova had to come back for one more. But alas - it's not to be as they had their 3 year run - their time has passed. You've just left the Twilight Zone and have entered into the Bluejay Zone - it's Our Time now, baby! (My picks for "Best shot for the top" in the Big East...in order: Creighton, Seton Hall. Johnnies as the Dark Horse!)

Luv ya Beast! gtmo

gtmo, thank you for letting us know what should already be painfully obvious to all Big East fans. It was a good run for Villanova, but I do realize that all good runs must come to an end sometime. I am just hoping Jay will be able to get us an NIT berth here or there so Villanova fans will at least have some type of postseason basketball to watch. The Big East is now Blue Jay country. It's time to recognize!

These GTMO posts frustrate me to no end. It makes Creighton fan, in general, look very ignorant.

To shorten GTMO's post Creighton is the best. Who's Nova and Xavier? Oh they are the possible 3rd and 4th place teams who will get swept by Creighton.

I think you're mistaken in believing Gtmo provides anything other than amusing pokes and prods in an effort to stimulate the board. Pretty sure he had CU winning the league each of the last 3 years. I enjoy his posts because I don't take any of them seriously.
