If it's so incompetent then go back to the A-10. I'm sure Dayton would be happy to take your spot.

Not a bad idea, we would get to play the better NYC team again.

Update on the Seton Hall Pearl Harbor Day game:

The event now includes Seton Hall, California, Hawaii, and a 4th team that many assume will be a service academy. Cal is the speculated SHU opponent, which isn't terrible, but unless the Hall's opponent ends up being a big time program in team # 4 (instead of the expected service academy, highly unlikely) this event is a major disappointment after all the Kansas rumors that were flying around.

How can you honestly say this quibble is still about out of conference scheduling. Lol. The Big East isn't some cult object that we worship... Nor is St John's the police force to remind the newbies (who have done their fair share of work for the conference since 2013) to know their place.

The BE is fallible, Xavier is too. But good luck getting any fans of any program to admit their AD is straight up lying to them. As someone said before, the truth of the matter probably lies somewhere in the grey area, perhaps a miscommunication, or a misunderstanding. Or maybe one of the parties is just trying to cover their ass. Does it really matter, though? We will likely never know the details of what actually happened, until we do. In which case, there won't be anything to argue about.

Who said St. John's is the police? I Redman, who happen to be a SJU alum have an issue with the level of chicken little/conspiracy theory complaining going on here about X's spot in the Gavitt games. Yes, I have an issue with a new team bad mouthing the league because they didn't get preferential treatment. X booked themselves in the PR tournament which is the same week as the Gavitt games. Thats the entire reason why they aren't playing this year. X wasn't "screwed" and the conference isn't "incompetent" because you didn't get what you wanted. You guys have an issue with that, fine.

Except basically everyone from Creighton was surprised when they did get a Gavitt home game. Clearly the Xavier administration was told they were getting that particular game and the Creighton administration was told they weren't getting a game. Then in the last few weeks all of the sudden the Big East realized things weren't going to work so things changed. It was a pleasant surprise for Creighton and a scrambling situation now for the Xavier staff. Not a conspiracy, not the end of the world, but now Xavier has to make something work.

And spare me the hyperbole about if Xavier doesn't like it they should leave the conference or the strawman argument about how Xavier fans are upset that Michigan State is ducking them. Like others have said, the Big East isn't infallible, everyone in the league earned their current spot and can criticize the league if they want. You can act like there is such a thing as being more of a member of the Big East than other schools, but that is not the case. But by all means, continue to be the old guard that tells the other schools to get off your lawn whenever they make a peep.

How about some of you X fans not bad mouth the league YOU JUST ENTERED because one little thing didn't go your way? We've been here 30+ years. We've earned our spot. Now be quiet and earn yours too.

1. No one is bad mouthing the league. I think X fans unanimously love being in the Big East. We just wanted to complain for I think, very obvious, understandable reasons, over something fairly trivial but you were hell bent on not allowing any sort of commiseration it and taking personal shots at Xavier fans for reasons I can't understand.

2. I think Xavier has earned our spot. Don't think that's much of an argument.

3. You sound bitter as hell

Now you've done it. I'm doomed to have to read more crying about crying. Sorry to cry about it. But I just can't stand the crying about crying.
