Yakwe as the 6th man with his energy. Owen, Fruedenberg, Ponds, and Mussina as a three point specialist off the bench.

I could see that being a NIT team next year. What SJU wouldn't take that after 8 wins last year?

Ellison starting over both Mussini & Ponds?

Mussina is small and got overwhelmed last year. His foot work is slow, bad defensive player. I like Ponds, but a freshmen starting from day 1? I like someone with experience, unless Ponds tears it up in practice, then I'd be all for him starting.

He also averaged double digits as a freshmen playing out of position. Most seem to think he has little chance of improvement. I think he has the most chance. He's already a basketball player. Now he just needs to look like one.

Arkansas State transfer Anthony Livingston is expected to sign with St. John's, source tells @SNYtv. Would be eligible immediately.

REAL NICE!!!!!!!
Love the way the roster is shaping up. With him we should be NIT bound.
What SJU fan wouldn't take that after last year? And I love the early season Tournaments to see where we're at right away.

It will take time to gel, but if everyone is coached-up, we could be really dangerous by February.
With Livingston (Love his wide body, something that we don't have, he'll add leadership, and he'll give us depth.), there's no reason not to make the NIT.

Yeah I know that's not the same as the NCAA Tourny, but after 8 wins last year, it's a start and a major move forward.

The $64,000 question will be whether CM can coach em up. But the talent certainly appears to be shaping up.

You guys are killing it with transfers. This year could be surprising with the following year being even more so. Congrats

If Mullins can get this many guys after the season St. John's just had think of the players he can get off a good season. I'm at the point where I wouldn't be surprised if St. John's makes the tournament. Is either of the transfers from Michigan State or Arizona eligible next year?

Well the fact that we gave X all they could handle and hung with National champs Nova for a half in both games tells me he can. Those kids played their hearts out for him when they were in a very long losing streak. They just didn't have the horses.

Was told Arkansas State grad transfer Anthony Livingston visit to #sjubb went very well. Uncertain if he will take more visits.
