Not an all league guy but a guy who is not afraid to get his hands dirty and contributes. He would have been able to give some senior leadership as well next year. Perhaps SJU is in good with a few players who can play next year and Jones knew it was time to move on if he wanted to get playing minutes.

Just reading back.

Well if Livingston comes, he'll more makeup for losing Jones, Livingston is way better.

If Livingston comes:
Sima C
Livingston PF
Ahmed SF
Ellison SG (Unless Ponds out shines Ellison in practice.)
Lovett PG

Yakwe as the 6th man with his energy. Owen, Fruedenberg, Ponds, and Mussina as a three point specialist off the bench.

I could see that being a NIT team next year. What SJU wouldn't take that after 8 wins last year?

I don't see Yakwe coming off the bench. These new guys need to prove they belong out there and the coaching staff I think will weed out who belongs.

Correction: Livingston is a top 2 or 3 Grad transfer PF for 2016, from Arkansas St. Chk Goodman's top ten on the transfer list. A DC kid. Had a great, consistent, and dominant juco career. (Incorrectly labeled him a juco previously)

Well lets take a look at it. If he comes that 4 players for 3 positions. Bashir is definitely playing the 3.
Yakwe had a more impressive first season over Sima so yeah he'll probably start.
So it could be sima or Livingston. Sima wasn't impressive after his return from hand injury. Livingston had good games against high major (23min, 11boards, 1blk and 7pnts vs Oregon, 35min, 5boards, 2blks and 20 vs Baylor.), so he could hold his own.
It would be a fun problem to have.

I don't pencil in a JUCO as a star until they preform like it.

Rothstein had Mullin on his podcast. A pretty good listen.

Ellison starting over both Mussini & Ponds?

Mussina is small and got overwhelmed last year. His foot work is slow, bad defensive player. I like Ponds, but a freshmen starting from day 1? I like someone with experience, unless Ponds tears it up in practice, then I'd be all for him starting.
