Imagine if they got Cheick Diallo. What good would that have done? Guy was not ready to contribute on a high level out of high school and wants to go pro ASAP. Same with Rawle Alkins. That kid wasn't going to make a difference for St. John's in the next year or two as he cannot do it alone.
Need the slow and steady pace in Queens and things will work out five. This is a five year plan, not a five month fix.
If we get Livingston (a big bruiser), he will help alot. Bang against those big boys down low.
Again if we get him, then I'm saying nit next year, if that happens then we should get 18-19 wins.
In 17 we tack on 5 or 6 more wins and that's 23-4 wins in 17.
So it may not be as slow as some on here may think. They are killing it recruiting.

“That third year could be an incredible year, I feel,” said Simon, who has to sit out next season and then will have three seasons of eligibility, in a phone interview. “[Mullin] is getting the pieces and players he wants. I feel like the time will come and we’ll all be ready and St. John’s will be a team to watch out for.”
